Born and raised in Oakland, California, Julie Valentine-Dunn and Lisa Clemons have begun their journey as entrepreneurs.  These ladies want to tickle your taste buds with an authentic taste of nostalgia.  Yes, there are others on the market, but nothing compares to the savory taste of  Southern Belle Sweet Tea. 

         Julie Valentine-Dunn’s recipe, an updated version of a generations-old recipe, will have you running back for another ice-cold glass.  Julie and husband Ricky Sr. proud parents of 4 children (Jasmin, Ricky Jr., Kally and Jessica) and 2 granddaughters (Morgan and Lauren).  As the eldest in the family, more often than not, Julie has been the one in the kitchen whipping up masterpieces.  Practice makes perfect!  She has a knack for making even the  simplest meals unforgettable. While a California-girl at heart, Julie cherishes the “southern way”.  Julie recalls being a young mother with little money and being creative while pinching pennies.  She has delighted her loved ones for years with her sweet tea.  Usually the first question out of the mouths of visitors to her home is “Do you have any of that sweet tea?”   Julie dreams of passing on a tradition that will represent not only her past but celebrate who she is today.  May her children and grandchildren always remember… that stainless steel pot bubbling with brown liquid and sweetened to perfection was more than just sweet tea, but a tradition steeped with love that she wants to pass down to many generations!

         Lisa Clemons, supported by her husband Weldon, is the mastermind behind the brand creation. A proud mother of two sons, (Malcolm and Harlem), Lisa decided that it was time to put her business management degree to work by launching her own business.  Stepping out on faith and with the support of  friends and family, Lisa has begun her journey as an entrepreneur.
